Campus Plaza is another shopping area located just half a mile from UCI’s campus. Here you can find an Albertsons to do your grocery shopping, Starbucks to study for hours on end, and multiple eateries to fill your hungry stomach. It’s a relatively small shopping center compared to others in the Orange County. Just like many other locations, people are already beginning to take advantage of the open spaces available for them to use.
As can be seen from the image above, outdoor chairs and tables are open for public use. Both families and groups of friends are enjoying the nice weather Orange County has to offer. But just yesterday Governor Gavin Newsom issued a statement that requires the lockdown of 19 California counties to deter the spread of COVID-19 — with one of those being Orange County.
Now that we’re back in lockdown, we should expect to see a reduction in people outdoors and eating out. With the rising numbers of COVID-19, it comes as no surprise this is one of the outcomes. Please remember to stay 6ft apart from others, wash your hands often, wear a mask, and stay safe.
